Below are links I use in my classroom with my students! Different ways to communicate with families, introduce curriculum, review curriculum, and help students stay engaged in learning!
Class Dojo: A site used to communicate between parent, teacher, and students! I use this mainly as a texting resource along with our classroom website. I also use this to post our daily activities and work and it can be seen as our "social media" page. Each child also has a digital portfolio of work kept here to culminate special products we do throughout the year!

Prodigy: Prodigy Math Game is an interactive and engaging adventure that helps build 1st to 8th-grade math skills. With frequent in-game updates, children love to spend time practicing math! It also allows teachers to assign specific skills and deliver reports in order to assess understanding of given areas. Our children LOVE feeling like they are playing a video game and the capability to "battle" each other to practice their skills!

Epic: Epic is the world's largest online children's book service where it delivers immediate, on-demand access to over 40,000 high-quality illustrated books and chapter books for children ages 12 and under. The site also has access to many videos to do crafts, learn songs, and explore new interests at home! Often I will assign books from Epic for the kids to read in class.

Quizlet: a website that allows you to make online flashcards to study terms and definitions and also review in the forms of games, tests, and practice! Save sets to study for tests and as a class we play "Quizlet Live" to compete against one another! We use Quizlet in class when learning our new vocabulary words.

IXL: Unlimited practice problems with meaningful, up-to-date tracking on your child's progress. This website allows us to learn thousands of K-12 topics online. As a teacher, I can get detailed feedback and guidance on my student's progress. Students get straight forward practice with opportunities to level up! Linked is our district's IXL page.

Khan Academy: Students use videos to practice at their own pace newly taught skills! Created by experts, Khan Academy’s library of trusted, standards-aligned practice and lessons covers math K-12 through early college, grammar, science, history, AP®, SAT®, and more. All the content is free for learners and teachers. These videos are great to use as review for our students, particularly in math problem solving concepts, to review or learn a skill.

Hour of Code: Hour of Code is a global movement of websites used to introduce students to computer science. In these activities, students are introduced to coding, logic, and problem solving skills.

Brainpop: is a group of educational websites with over 1,000 short animated movies for students in grades K-12, together with quizzes and related materials, covering the subjects of science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, arts and music. We often use Brainpop to introduce a new subject with the interactive videos or assign activities through Brainpop.com!

Generation Genius: Generation Genius is a K-8 teaching resource that brings school science standards to life through fun and educational videos paired with lesson plans, activities, quizzes, reading material and more. The videos are an engaging way to introduce content and then reinforce learning of science concepts by adding on each year.

Blooket: A review game where the a teacher picks a question set and a unique game mode. Then, Blooket generates a code that players can use to join the game on their own devices. After the game starts, players will answer questions to help them win. That’s where the fun starts, because we offer a variety of games to keep students engaged and excited! The kids love earning new Blooks as incentives with practice and can create their own review games as well!
